Didn't feel great at the start of the day and just hung on during the first lap. Went to the front on each lap during the flat section to do a little work for Blair. Opening it up on the flats got me going and I started to feel better. After the big climb at the start of the 3rd lap the lead group was down to 8. Once we hit the flats with about 4 miles to go, the pace quickened and there were a few small attacks that were easily covered. Everyone was hitting it pretty hard once we hit the final climb. Blair and another guy had about 20 yards on everyone else with 400 to go. We both punched it over the last little kicker before the finish. Blair maintained his lead for the win and I pulled away from the rest of the field to take 2nd.
A good day for Team Echelon!
